D365 Functional Consultant, Global MSP

Job Title: Senior Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant (Customer Engagement)

Location: Remote / Hybrid – UK-based with occasional client site visits

 

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant to join our MSP client’s professional services team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions for clients by leveraging your expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE). You'll play a key role in gathering requirements, configuring solutions, and ensuring successful deployment, all while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and business outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Delivery:

  • Lead discovery sessions to gather and analyse client business requirements.
  • Design and implement solutions within D365 CE modules, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Field Service.
  • Configure and customise Dynamics 365 applications to align with business processes.

Functional Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on best practices for using Dynamics 365 CE to optimise business performance.
  • Develop and deliver workshops, demonstrations, and training to ensure user adoption.

Project Support & Documentation:

  • Create functional specifications, user stories, and test plans to guide development teams.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshoot any issues post-implementation.
  • Develop high-quality documentation, including solution design, process maps, and user guides.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft Power Platform capabilities and industry trends.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance client solutions.
  • Support the enhancement of internal methodologies and best practices.

Skills & Experience Required:

🎯 Dynamics 365 Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of D365 Customer Engagement (CE) modules, including Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and customising Dynamics 365 to meet business requirements.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and how it integrates with Dynamics.

🎯 Functional Consulting & Stakeholder Management:

  • Experience gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
  • Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead discovery workshops and conduct user training.

🎯 Project & Delivery Skills:

  • Proven track record of delivering D365 CE implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience producing functional specifications and process documentation.
  • Experience working in Agile or Waterfall project environments.

🎯 Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Understanding of Azure services and integrations with Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of data migration tools and techniques.
  • Exposure to Power BI and reporting capabilities within the Dynamics ecosystem.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultant Associate
  • Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (Desirable)
