Job Title: Employee Relations HR Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Employee Relations HR Manager to join our dynamic HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing all aspects of employee relations across the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring a positive, fair, and legally compliant work environment, while providing expert guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with current legislation and best practices. Communicate these policies effectively to employees and managers.
  • Advice and Support: Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, ensuring that all actions taken are fair, consistent, and in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues. Ensure that investigations are handled sensitively, objectively, and in a timely manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Keep up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and ensure that HR practices are adjusted accordingly.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs for managers and employees on employee relations topics, including conflict resolution, performance management, and company policies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze employee relations trends and metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management. Use data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Employee Engagement: Work closely with the HR team and management to promote a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement. Support initiatives that foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on employee relations implications and helping to manage the people side of change effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CIPD qualification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or a similar HR role, with a strong track record of managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations principles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
