Job Overview:
As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the HR team across a wide range of activities. This includes providing expert advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations issues, supporting recruitment, and ensuring compliance with employment law. The ideal candidate will have a solid HR background and possess a CIPD qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide generalist HR support and advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, and managing offers of employment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment law
  • Support the HR team with day-to-day HR operations, including absence management, payroll queries, and employee data management
  • Assist with learning and development initiatives, including identifying training needs and facilitating workshops or training sessions
  • Participate in HR projects to support the overall strategic objectives of the company
  • Maintain and update employee records in line with GDPR regulations
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of HR reports and metrics to senior management

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualified (Level 5 or higher)
  • Proven experience in a similar HR Advisor role
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • Experience with HR software and systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a fast-growing or dynamic company environment
  • Previous experience with HR projects and change management initiatives
