Net Talent are delighted to be working with a national business who are operational throughout the UK with a history dating back over 70 years.
With over 10,000 employees, multi-billion pound turnover and strong digital presence, they are looking to solidify their security operations by adding a Information Security Manager to their expert team of professionals based in Glasgow.
The role involves working with various business stakeholders and departments to ensure all projects and BAU activities meet security framework and policy standards. You will be part of substantial security projects and develop strategies to improve security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough security assessments across systems, networks, and applications.
- Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential threats in security frameworks.
- Work with security engineering and wider technical teams to develop and execute strategies to mitigate risks and reinforce security defenses.
- Offer guidance and recommendations on best practices for securing systems and data.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging cyber threats, trends, and technologies.
- Communicate technical information and recommendations effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to address findings from penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate and take part in drafting and updating policies, procedures and standards.
Skills Required:
- Background of working across Information Security, Cyber Security, and or GRC functions.
- Demonstrated experience implementing solutions aligned with the likes of ISO27001, NIST, CIS, or Cyber Essentials
- Capability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Skill in building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
