Inside Sales Representative (CyberSecurity/ IT)

Due to ambitious growth plans as we move into 2025 and beyond, we are seeking highly motivated Inside Sales Representatives (ISR) to join a successful UK sales team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new qualified leads/opportunities to identify new business sales initiatives in the UK across multiple verticals. This can be based anywhere in the UK although you must be prepared to travel to HQ in Edinburgh on a monthly basis. 

A successful ISR will be responsible for initiating prospect relationships, driving interest throughout the early stages of the sales cycle, and partnering with Sales Consultants to secure customer telephone conversations and face to face appointments to support revenue quota objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify new opportunities to position our portfolio of services, mapped to the Microsoft solution stack, inbound and outbound calls
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with prospects via phone, email, and web until an opportunity to provide a qualified lead / opportunity to the Sales Consultant
  • Build a monthly qualified pipeline of 8-10 opportunities aligned to your industry / industries
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing (industry aligned) to build campaigns based on market insights and trends (inside-out perspective from Microsoft also)
  • Share blogs, newsletters and updates with prospective customers to raise awareness, working with the Marketing team and sharing on your LinkedIn profile
  • Support marketing campaigns with following up early signals of interest (e.g. event attendance, social media engagements, web form fills)
  • Communicate effectively with assigned Sales Consultants to drive new business revenue opportunities  
  • Collaborate with Microsoft eco-system to understand lead and prospect industry aligned Use Cases, monthly meetings
  • Pro-actively update CRM once the lead / opportunity has been identified (all leads / opportunities will be tracked) and update required databases with potential customer information
  • Provide weekly updates / reports to Sales and Marketing, using KPI’s (with manager) to track success
  • Undertake the required ongoing education and enablement training in a timely manner

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity and or, Information Technology telephone-based selling having undertaken an Inside Sales or Lead Generation role as part of your daily duties
  • Ability to demonstrate good listening skills to qualify opportunities
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies and best practices
  • A hunter by nature, with expertise in prospecting via a multi-channel approach including outbound calling
  • Ability to articulate (at a high level) our value proposition effectively to prospects
  • Prioritise prospects and generate new opportunities through research, prospecting phone calls, and networking the forums and LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
