IT Support Technician, Edinburgh

 

Net Talent are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join an established IT Department for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering first-tier technical support services to staff members within the organization.

 

As the initial point of contact within the IT Department, you will assume the vital role of overseeing the IT Service Desk, as well as the installation and setup of new devices, printers, and telephones. Additionally, you should be prepared to participate in an on-call rotation during non-business hours, for which an extra compensation will be provided.

 

Experience Required

 

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience.

 

  • An HND or equivalent experience within a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in deploying and supporting Windows clients in an Active Directory domain.
  • Proven experience in deploying and supporting various Office applications.
  • A solid understanding of user support within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Competence in offering technical assistance to both wired and wireless clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong customer-centric focus.
  • The ability to take initiative, effectively prioritize workloads, and work independently.
  • A collaborative mindset, enabling you to work seamlessly and efficiently as part of our IT support team.
