Senior/Lead Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer with this Global Group, you will be working on systems that are paramount to the security of the Group. You’ll be working with technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka .You’ll have the opportunity to be a key influence in shaping and future-proofing within this key role.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Writing highly scaleable and available back end systems & APIs using Java
Working with cloud-based infrastructure and technologies using AWS
Working closely with internal stakeholders and teams as well as third party suppliers
Mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing with colleagues
Influencing the delivery of technical solutions in a team setting
Resolving the root cause of complex problems, leaving software better and more maintainable
What We’re Looking For
Strong backend experience with Java
Experience with AWS as well as understanding DevOps concepts such as IaC
Experience with Kafka
Experience working on critical systems (ideally high volume and at scale)
Familiarity working in an Agile environment
Understanding relational, non-relational databases
